Webinar WILDLIFE IN INDONESIA: LOSS, DAMAGE AND SANCTIONS
AURIGA - 30 June 2020 – In collaboration with Lancaster University, Auriga Nusantara hosted its second webinar legal discussion entitled “Wildlife in Indonesia: Loss, damage, and sanctions”. The session focused on the need for civil law approaches that can provide environmental remedies in cases involving illegal wildlife trade.
Attended by 426 participants across various social media platform, including Youtube, the webinar invited 2 speakers, Prof. Rosa Agustina of Law Faculty of University Indonesia and Dr. Jacob Phelps of Lancaster Environmental Center at Lancaster University. Prof. Rosa explored the opportunities for exercising the civil law in illegal wildlife trade cases in Indonesia, and Dr. Jacob presented different strategies for qualifying remedying as illustrated by cases in various countries.
