  • National Symposium: Environmental Recovery Post-Court Verdict

    Currently, there have been many cases of natural resources and the environment in court that have handed down recovery sentences through a valuation approach, both criminal cases, corruption and civil lawsuits. Unfortunately, there is no mechanism for managing and using compensation from valuation for environmental restoration through the law enforcement process.

    Thursday, 17 December 2020 - Auriga Nusantara held a virtual discussion to socialize about what and how the Responsible Mining Index (RMI) instrument works; asking for input from the stakeholders consisting of government, mining companies represented by associations and civil society organizations who are working on issues extractive industry.

    Thursday, 17 December 2020 - This topic was raised due to the mandatory biodiesel policy which increased the conversion of forests to oil palm plantations by considering President Joko Widodo's ambition to accelerate the implementation of biodiesel even up to B100. The policy which was claimed has many positive impacts could threaten Indonesia's forests.

    Friday, January 24, 2020 - Auriga Nusantara held a focused group discussion (FGD) evaluating the Performance of ISPO (Indonesia Sustainable Palm Oil). The FGD was attended by academics from various universities, namely the University of Sumatera Utara (USU), University of Indonesia (UI), Gadjah Mada University (UGM), and Palangkaraya University (Unpar).
